Palma Nova offers a lovey soft sand beach with a long promenade that stretches the whole length of the beach. The beaches are divided into 3 areas, all have the normal tourist facilities and with life guards during the main holiday season. To the back of the beach are many places to eat and drink throughout the day. We have listed some other beaches close by that you may wish to visit while in Mallorca.
Portals Vells
If your wanting a small cove beach away from the holiday crowds this is a good choice. Not so far from Palma nova being just beyond Cala Vinas to the west of Magaluf. Lovely sandy bay with beach cafe. Good for snorkeling by the rocks in the clear aquamarine sea. Parking just up from the beach. Popular with the luxury yachts that pull into the bay from nearby Puerto Portals. Cala Mago is just around the corner and is an official nudist beach.
Camp De Mar
This is a small family holiday resort located just along the bay from the larger holiday town of Paguera. The resort has a couple of large beach front hotels and many holiday apartments. Lovely beach with soft sand and clear sea, safe swimming for all age groups. A small island sits in the middle of the bay that features a good quality Spanish restaurant. Good place to enjoy a Paella lunch.
Portals Nous
If your planning a visit to the Marina then maybe pop round to one of the beaches for a sunbath and a quick swim. Either side of the Marina are soft sand beaches, or you can go to the main Portals beach which is a delightful cove with clear blue/green sea. A lovely cove with good swimming.
Magaluf
The beach in Magaluf is soft powder sand with lovely clear sea. The only problem is that it is often full with the young and lively group so not so relaxing. However if you want a lively beach with good facilities it may be your cup of tea. It is still a beautiful beach.
